The Sacrament of Marriage

The sacrament of marriage is a wonderful gift to the Church.

The Lord stresses its importance in the Gospel today and reminds us that it is something that goes all the way back to the beginning of creation. The catechism is also a great place to go to see the importance of marriage.

"The sacrament of Matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses grace to love each other with the love with which Christ loved his Church; the grace of the sacrament thus perfects the human love of the spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity, and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life.” - CCC 1661

May we continue to pray for all our married couples that the grace of the sacrament they have received give us a tangible example of the love of Christ for his Church.
