VIRTUS Safe Environment Training is a free but also MANDATORY training for all volunteers in the Archdiocese that will teach, substitute, chaperone, or volunteer and have direct contact with youth (CCD, Youth Ministry, VBS, Totus Tuus) or our homebound (Ill & Shut-in Eucharistic Ministers) as well as Catholic Charities volunteers.
The next Virtus trainings hosted in our area will be held at the following parishes:
- Sacred Heart (Emporia) 101 Cottonwood, Parish Hall - Tuesday, Aug 11 from 6 - 9pm
- St. Francis Xavier (Burlington) Parish Hall, Wednesday, Aug 12 from 6 - 9pm
Pre-registration and completed online documents are required to secure your seat.
You can go here to register as a 1st Time Registrant: www.virtusonline.org
To attend either session you need to register and complete your background check as well as all the required documents.
If you are a youth volunteer (16-17yrs old) please contact each parish office for more information as you have an additional requirement to attend.
Please plan to arrive prior to the session starting because once it has begun no one will be admitted. You must also stay the entire time in order to earn your certificate.
REMINDER: All previous trained volunteers need to be current on Virtus bulletins in order to remain active. For help to register or check your active volunteer status, please contact Angela in the office # 620-364-5671
